Game and Fish wildlife habitat management areas begin to open May 1

CHEYENNE ? The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has 46 wildlife habitat management areas that provide crucial habitat for big game winter ranges. These areas are opening for the season after being closed to minimize disturbance to wintering big game animals and other wildlife, while protecting habitat from resource damage. Several WHMAs open May 1.


Game and Fish Commission to meet via teleconference

CHEYENNE ? The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission will hold a special meeting in compliance with the public records act on May 9 at 9 a.m. by teleconference. The Commission will vote to move into an executive session to discuss confidential personnel matters.

CHEYENNE ? The Wyoming Game and Fish Department extends congratulations to the winners of the Collectible Conservation Stamp Art Show. The?41st annual contest?featured the western tanager. The winning piece came from Justin Hayward of Casper and will be featured on the 2025 collectible conservation stamp and limited-edition print.
