Friends,

Things are so hard right now, but you're far from powerless. There's so much you can do about the climate crisis, and that's good because there's so much to do.

The fossil fuel industry is taking advantage of our focus on the pandemic. In the last month, the Trump administration has ok'd rollbacks on clean air laws, lowered fuel emissions standards, and offered huge bailouts to oil and gas companies. Unbelievably, at a time when so many of us are staying home from work and facing an uncertain financial future, fossil fuel companies are still making their workers build pipelines and other structures that often cut through vulnerable communities.

There are many ways to take action below. As a first step, write to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to demand a halt to construction at the Weymouth Compressor Station site. Details here.

In solidarity,
Vignesh Ramachandran
