Weekly Newsletter   Official Newsletter   The Border Crisis House Republicans have advanced multiple border security bills, including our notable Secure the Border Act, Laken Riley Act, and Consequences for Social Security Fraud Act. However, these crucial bills have been disregarded by the Far-Left Senate. Senator Schumer's steadfast refusal to engage in meaningful negotiations with the House, opting solely for mass amnesty, proves our colleagues on the other side aisle have no interest in putting an end to the border crisis. Instead of considering any of our proposed solutions to rectify the situation, Senator Schumer has only put forth measures for political expediency, potentially exacerbating the existing challenges. Such actions are contrary to the principles America stands for, and our team remains committed to restoring law and order to our borders.   Working to Secure the Border We cosponsored H.R. 780, the Mobilizing Against Sanctuary Cities Act. This bill holds state and local authorities accountable for failing to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement measures, by pulling federal funding to their cities. We voted 'Yes' on H.R. 2, one of the strongest border security bills. This bill will halt the flow of illegal aliens and fentanyl, strengthen asylum eligibility criteria, fund the wall and more. We voted to impeach DHS Secretary Mayorkas for his failure to protect Americans lying to congress and allowing millions of illegal aliens into our country. The measure passed the House but was dismissed by the President's lapdog, Senator Chuck Schumer. We cosponsored H.R. 5694, the Pay Our Border Patrol and Customs Agents Act ensuring that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel receive support during government shutdowns, prioritizing the safety of our border agents. These are just a few of the bills, visit here for more.   The TikTok Ban This week, President Biden has signed the bill that threatens to to ban TikTok. We voted against the measure to ban TikTok when it first came to the floor this year and we voted against it again when it came to the floor last Saturday. This sweeping measure is an egregious violation to our first and fifth amendment rights, and sets a dangerous precedent for future actions. We can hope for one of two things at this point: 1.TikTok brings this to the U.S. Supreme Court and it is ruled unconstitutional 2.TikTok sells to an American subsidiary Rest assured, we will continue to advocate for the protection of free speech and the preservation of individual liberties.
