96 A Message from the ChairwomanRepublicans are Delivering on the
Economy!

Friends,

During the buzz and excitement of primary races, let's take a moment to
celebrate our state's Republican leadership. Hoosiers have a lot to be
excited about when it comes to our economic future as a state. As we
glance at our neighboring states, grappling with the challenges of
Democratic governance and the economic struggles that come with
Bidenflation, we can't help but feel relief that Indiana's Republican
Governor and Republican supermajority in the General Assembly have
worked hard to keep Indiana's economy thriving - even when the rest of
the nation is struggling.

Just look at some of the latest news coming from the Governor's office -
an astounding $20.68 billion in committed capital investment in just one
quarter, crushing records and setting new benchmarks for success. In
just the last few weeks, some of the specific announcements include a
$3.87 billion committed investment from SK hynix for the construction of
a state-of-the-art semiconductor facility, a $1.4 billion committed
investment from Toyota for electric vehicle battery assembly, and a
whopping $11 billion committed investment from Amazon Web Services for a
new data center. These achievements are not just numbers; they are new
jobs, higher wages, and an economy of the future being built right here
in Indiana! That all equates into real investments being made in
communities across our state.

While our neighboring states struggle to overcome Biden's economy,
Republicans in Indiana have led our state to be the #1 ranked state in
manufacturing employment and output, #2 in automotive manufacturing, and
#3 in cost of living. Low costs and high wages are spreading through all
92 counties.

As you prepare to vote in the primary early or on May 7th, remember the
economic success that Republican leadership has provided our state. We
are better positioned to succeed in the economy of the future than we
have ever been, thanks to Republican leadership. Let's keep that
momentum going in to November!

Thank you for your continued support and for all that you do.

🌟 Sen. Cyndi Carrasco and Rep. Jake Teshka Named Emerging
Leaders by GOPAC! GOPAC, a Republican state and local political training
organization, tapped 29 legislators nationally for its 2024 class of
Emerging Leaders. Sen. Cyndi Carrasco and Rep. Jake Teshka were both
selected as 2 of the 29 legislators because of their demonstrated
promise in positively impacting our state and rising within the
Republican ranks. The Republican Party in Indiana breeds Hoosier
leaders, as demonstrated by the selection of 2 legislators in a class of
just 29 nationwide.

Sen. Carrasco and Rep. Teshka will be part of a yearlong initiative to
educate the next generation of Republican legislators. The program is
designed to equip legislators with information to help them legislate
more effectively and ultimately achieve leadership roles within their
state or run for higher office. To read more about the 2024 class and
GOPAC click [link removed] HERE.

We at the Indiana Republican party would like to say congratulations to
both Sen. Cyndi Carrasco and Rep. Jake Teshka for being selected and
wish them success. These legislators have shown that they have what it
takes to be leaders of the next generation of Hoosier Republicans.

📚 Transforming K-12 Education in Indiana 🎓 Given that
education commands such a significant portion of the state budget (more
than half!), we want to ensure we highlight the important work being
done by Republican leaders to enhance the Hoosier student journey from
Pre-K to graduation. The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) and its
leader, Secretary of Education Dr. Katie Jenner has taken transformative
steps to elevate Hoosier education.

Appointed by Governor Holcomb in 2021, Dr. Jenner has proven to be an
exceptional partner. During her tenure, the IIDOE has proactively taken
steps to...

Improve science of reading and child literacy. Rethink high school
education to create more opportunities. Prepare students for employment,
enrollment, or enlistment. Expand options and opportunities through
school choice. Address teacher shortages in high need areas. Invest in
our students' futures through historic levels of funding. Under
Republican leadership, IDOE has championed efforts to enhance
flexibility in diploma requirements without compromising rigor, expand
opportunities for high-quality work-based learning, and improve access
to valuable credentials before high school graduation.

We at the Indiana Republican Party applaud the dedication of Republican
leadership and Dr. Jenner to improve Hoosier education. Below you will
find detailed information on the ongoing efforts of the IDOE in this
regard. Indiana’s educational outlook is strong under Republican
leadership!
