Dear john,

On Monday, April 22, I presented the first-ever federal funding to the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation for the renovation of historic Atlanta Fire Rescue Station 16. The $500,000 investment was secured as part of this year’s government funding package. The investment will enhance public safety for the Vine City and English Avenue Communities by renovating Fire Station 16, which housed Atlanta’s first Black firefighters. This historic fire station also helped me install Carter Cakes' car seat when I was pregnant! Thank you for being here to serve, no matter the call.

On Tuesday, April 23, I delivered $630,000 for Clark Atlanta University to make campus public safety improvements. The investment will go toward improving on-campus security for Clark Atlanta University students, staff, and visitors. The investment was secured as part of this year’s government funding package. Joining Congresswoman Williams for the announcement will be Clark Atlanta University President George T. French Jr. I'm Always happy to deliver for HBCUs and the AUC!

These projects help provide much needed support to our community and as Congresswoman I'll continue to deliver resources for the people of the Fighting Fifth.

Yours for the people,

Rep. Nikema Williams signature
