Tonight, the Jewish community celebrates the first night of Passover, commemorating the exodus of the Israelites from bondage in ancient Egypt; a story that has inspired humanity for thousands of years.
As our Jewish friends take a pause to consider the struggle against bondage and oppression, we join them in considering those around the world today who yearn to be free — the struggle for liberation should inspire all of us to work towards a better world, without oppression or enslavement.
This spring, I am filled with immense gratitude for the blessings in my life. We truly live in a beautiful state in a remarkable country, and I’m thankful for each and every one of you who makes our state the best place to live.
