Hey y'all, it's Jamaal!
Last weekend I was hitting the pavement with my field team, knocking doors and hanging out with voters.
Doing things like that – connecting with the real people of our community – reminds me why I dress up in a suit and take the train to D.C. for most of the year.
I didn't run for Congress as an ego-boost or because some MAGA-funded super PAC waved a fat wad of cash in front of me – George Latimer can't say the same.
I ran because I want to improve the lives of New Yorkers. I want to give them what I probably could've used growing up in public housing with a single mom.
Anyways, that's what meeting New Yorkers (especially in the sweet 16th district) does for me. It reminds me why I'm fighting every damn day to stop these MAGA billionaires from buying this seat.
So here's what's up right now – I'm beating my opponent by 1 point in the latest polls.
And while a win is a win, 1 point just ain't gonna cut it. All it takes is that damn MAGA super PAC to write a check and suddenly, my opponent is 1 point ahead of me!
I need to personally ask you to chip in a donation right now John. Just a few bucks is critical to ensuring we dominate my opponent in June!
