Dear John,

This Monday, 22 April, is Earth Day. Population Matters is marking the occasion with the official launch of our Spring Action Month!

Our core focus remains our ever-increasing human population. Human encroachment into the natural world has devastating effects. During this special month, we want as many of our supporters as possible to get involved with our campaigns, to let us know how you're taking action to reduce your impact on the planet, and to sign up for a new fundraising challenge.

As a valued supporter of our work, we would love you to make your first Spring Action joining us as a member or making a spring donation.

Your support is absolutely vital in continuing our work. Please see my latest Spring Action blog post on our news page which details specific spring actions you can take for biodiversity or to raise funds for Population Matters.

For example, you can download our Big Spring Plant & Big Spring Sort fundraising activities. Or, for a small £5 donation, you can download our brand new Pop a Bun in the Oven baking fundraising pack.

Launching Spring Action Month and our season of spring and summer fundraising, Population Matters member Alice Morley is running 10km this weekend - raising over £300 so far. Population Matters needs fundraisers like Alice. Would you consider signing up during Spring Action Month to undertake a fundraising challenge now or later in the year?

More information is available on our fundraising page, including our online fundraising questionnaire and Fundraising Toolkit to guide you on your journey.

However you choose to get involved this Spring Action Month, we'd love to hear from you! Tell us your plans, send us photos, and we may share your spring activity on our website or social media channels.

Let's make this spring action-packed for Population Matters!

With very best wishes,

Anthony Howarth
