    Dear John,

We're excited to announce that a new Forefront article on the use of medication to treat opioid use disorder was authored by a Fellow in the Health Equity Fellowship for Trainees (HEFT), Anjali Dixit.

HEFT provides multi-layered mentorship to early career health equity researchers.

Social Determinants Of Perinatal Mental Illness

In the April Perinatal Mental Health & Well-Being issue, Bridgette Blebu and coauthors conduct a latent class analysis to identify subgroups of co-occurring social determinants of health among prenatal clients with perinatal anxiety and depression or serious mental illness.

The researchers found that intimate partner violence, housing instability, history of substance use, and low social support were the most commonly reported social determinants that had negative impacts on survey respondents.

They conclude by calling for integrated social determinants and perinatal mental health screening and support services.

For more about the paper's finding, revisit Bridgette Blebu's presentation from our theme issue briefing.
