St George's flag on Council House April 2024

St George’s Day flag

Our 60-foot flag was unfurled on the front of the Council House earlier today.

We believe it to be the largest in the country and it’s an iconic sight across the front of our civic building. Thanks to both SCAPE Group and signage company John E Wright for sponsoring its installation. We wish everyone a very Happy St George’s Day for next Tuesday!

Toton P&R charge points

Electric vehicle charge points installed at Toton Park and Ride

Eight 50kw rapid electric vehicle (EV) charge points have been installed at Toton Park and Ride by the City Council with funding secured from the Government’s Transforming Cities Fund, making it the largest rapid charging hub on the D2N2 network.

The public charge points are located in dedicated EV charging bays and positioned strategically just off the A52. A solar canopy and battery storage have also been installed, providing a renewable energy source that can be stored and used when it is needed.
