Hi friend, it’s Aly, Colin’s wife. Tomorrow is an important day for our family and the campaign. 

It is Colin’s 41st birthday!! 🎉

Colin's team shared with me that they want to surprise him with a very special update that they've received 20,000 donations before tomorrow's mid-month goal, and they asked me to help.

Colin and I first met in law school when we were assigned to review each other’s papers. From becoming fast friends to serving in student government together, his resilience and determination always stood out to me and I knew even then his dedication to public service would remain constant.

That is what made me fall in love with him. Like me, he believed that the law should be used to build a world where everyone has the opportunity to chase their version of the American dream. And, like me, he was determined in his pursuit of change. 

So when Colin and I talked about running for Senate against Ted Cruz, I knew right away that he was the best person for the job. Throughout our time together, I’ve seen how hard he has fought to build a better world, taking the fight for progress from the courtrooms to the House – and soon, to the Senate.

I know I can count on him as a husband and a father – and I know that from the moment he’s sworn in, you’ll be able to count on him, too. 

Friend, the closer we get to Election Day, the clearer it is that Texans don’t just want change – we need it. That’s why these deadlines weigh so heavily on Colin, because he knows what it’s going to take to defeat Ted Cruz, and he can’t afford to fall behind by a single penny.
