Canada’s provincial health-care systems face issues of high spending and poor performance.

This is largely due to a monopolistic health care system dominated by the government.

A new essay published by the Fraser Institute today finds that to truly address the challenges facing our health-care system, federal constraints on provincial experimentation need to be reformed to allow provinces to innovate and explore proven approaches to delivering universally accessible health care.
