Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD), Ranking Member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship, will be in conversation with Economic Liberties Executive Director Sarah Miller to discuss the state of current legislation and the resources available to support small businesses through the Coronavirus crisis.

This is a critical moment for Main Street. Corporate monopolies and private equity firms are already using the crisis to crush small businesses by cutting off their access to customers and supplies, exploiting them with predatory loans, and buying them outright. While the legislation Congress recently passed provides for limited assistance to small businesses, we must continue to advocate for the next policies that will empower entrepreneurs, independent businesses and small and medium enterprises throughout and after this crisis.
