John, here are three things I’m proud of right now:

• We expanded healthcare access for 10,000 kids through Arizona’s KidsCare program.


• We unveiled a plan to lower prescription drug costs for Arizonans and bring more transparency to the pharmaceutical industry.


• Finally, we canceled $2 billion in medical debt for up to one million Arizonans — the largest medical debt cancellation in our country’s history.

Throughout my career as a social worker, I heard countless stories about families struggling to pay medical bills. I knew that something had to change, and our elected officials at the time weren’t paying attention.

No one should have to take on overwhelming debt just to stay healthy. That’s why I’m taking action to ensure all Arizonans can thrive — but getting things done isn’t easy when extreme Republicans are doing everything they can to grind progress to a halt.
