Today marked an important step in our fight against food insecurity in Cook County. Joined by U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller and Commissioner Alma Anaya, and local leaders, we unveiled new cold-storage vans to bolster pantry capacity. With 1 in 5 households in the Chicago metro area facing food insecurity, access to food is a human right we must fiercely defend. Together, let's ensure no one in our community goes hungry.
