Happy National Public Health Week!

This year’s theme is We Are All Public Health , a call to action that reflects Lauren’s deep commitment to health care affordability and accessibility for all and addressing health disparities.

It takes all of us — including this grassroots team, that includes you, John — to create real change. From ensuring our communities have access to clean drinking water, to lowering prohibitive health care costs and advancing solutions to the climate crisis, it’s our responsibility to take action.

When it comes to health care, it’s clear to see how crucial it is that we take back the House in November. For anyone weighing who should take the helm in Congress, we put together a pros and cons list:

Pros

*
House
Democrats
are
working
tooth
and
nail
to
expand
Medicare
and
lower
health
care
costs
across
the
board.
*
A
record-breaking
21.3
million
people
signed
up
for
health
care
under
the
ACA
during
the
2023-2024
Open
Enrollment
Season.
*
Lauren’s
Health
Care
Affordability
Act
made
it
possible
for
four
out
of
five
Americans
to
find
a
plan
for
less
than
$10
a
month.
*
Democrats
are
working
to
protect
abortion
access,
including
supporting
ballot
initiatives
in
their
home
states.
*
Lauren’s
groundbreaking
work
has
brought
recognition
and
funding
for
maternal
health
for
underserved
and
vulnerable
groups,
including
veterans
and
Black
moms.

Cons

*
Republicans,
including
Lauren’s
extreme
opponent,
are
still
scheming
to
repeal
the
Affordable
Care
Act
no
matter
the
impact
to
their
constituents’
health
and
livelihoods.
*
House
Republicans
just
released
their
extreme
budget
that
would
rip
away
coverage
from
millions
of
Americans
and
help
Big
Pharma’s
price
gouging.
*
If
Republicans
have
their
way,
over
100
million
people
with
pre-existing
conditions
could
face
denial
of
coverage
or
higher
costs.
*
They
want
to
slash
Medicare
and
Social
Security,
cutting
health
care
access
and
benefits
that
Americans
worked
hard
for
and
earned.
*
Even
after
the
overturning
of
Roe
v.
Wade
,
the
GOP
wants
to
further
erode
abortion
access
and
criminalize
abortion
providers
and
patients,

Expanding access to critical health care is what drove Lauren to Congress and she is now working to open the door for millions more Americans to gain coverage. But she can’t do that if she’s not reelected and if Republicans hold the majority.

Will you chip in now to keep Lauren’s seat and flip the House so we can expand health care access to more Americans?

CHIP IN [secure.actblue.com/donate/lufc_email_apr2024]

Each day, Lauren and her Democratic colleagues in Congress champion measures that would expand access to care and fund the crucial programs our communities need to thrive. But they can’t do it without you, John.

Thank you for supporting Lauren’s vision for health care for all.
