Folks,

Virginia Democrats in the House of Delegates decisively voted down a GOP bill that would’ve instituted a near-total abortion ban in the Commonwealth.

I talk a lot about how elections have very real consequences, and this is the perfect example.

I can’t help but think how different Virginia would look right now if we didn’t flip the House of Delegates last November. Our Democratic majority in the General Assembly is the one thing standing in the way of the GOP’s dangerous, anti-choice agenda.

And this November, we have the chance to expand our Democratic majority in Washington. So I’m asking: Will you pitch in $5 or more today to help me elect pro-choice Democrats to the Senate so we can expand our majority and codify Roe into law? [link removed]

National Republicans have made it very clear they’re vying for an abortion ban.

To be completely frank, our best line of defense is doing exactly what we did in the Commonwealth: Electing Democrats up and down the ballot.

If we’re going to continue to protect reproductive rights here in Virginia and nationwide, we need to make sure we help Democrats win their highly competitive races this year.
