That and more – remember to follow my Facebook page by clicking here and my Twitter page by clicking here to stay up-to-date throughout the week! PRESIDENT BIDEN'S $7.3-TRILLION BUDGET WOULD ELIMINATE NEARLY 800,000 AMERICAN JOBS According to research conducted by the Tax Foundation, President Biden's $7.3-trillion budget would cut economic output by 2.2%, reduce wages by 1.6%, and eliminate nearly 800,000 American jobs. We need to reject this awful economic proposal and balance our federal budget! Biden's tax-hike plan would cost the US economy nearly... Read more www.foxbusiness.com STANDING UP FOR OUR FARMERS AND BIOFUELS PRODUCERS The U.S. biofuels industry is a critical component of our economy, an important economic engine in rural America, and a vital source for good-paying jobs. These low-cost, low-carbon fuels support American energy independence, help our farmers, and lower prices at the pump for our families. Regrettably, the Biden administration has failed to negotiate new free trade agreements that could expand opportunities for homegrown American biofuels in global markets, instead prioritizing electric-vehicle mandates on our families and burdensome WOTUS regulations on our farmers. That's why Rep. Darin LaHood and I sent two letters urging the Biden administration to hold our trading partners accountable for their actions and ensure American farmers have access to new and developing markets that will serve as new revenue sources for our producers. Opinion: The Biden Administration must do more to open... In this opinion piece, U.S. Reps. RESTORING INTEGRITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY TO THE SNAP PROGRAM SNAP overpayments account for nearly $1 billion in additional federal spending every single month. This is not only fiscally irresponsible, but also downright unacceptable. That’s why I introduced legislation to cut down on overpayments of SNAP benefits. Feenstra: Restoring integrity, accountability to SNAP... In 1933, the federal government established the foundation of what would eventually become the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - better known as SNAP - when President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed Read more www.nwestiowa.com CALLING FOR AN INVESTIGATION INTO DELAYS AT THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE IN SIOUX CITY Our seniors deserve to receive their hard-earned Social Security benefits on time and in full. However, the SSA office in Sioux City has failed to uphold its responsibility to taxpayers, with reports of serious delays and indifference to the needs and requests of Iowans. It’s my concern that these delays are due, in large part, to the increase of remote work within federal agencies. That’s why Senator Ernst and I sent a letter to the Inspector General of the Social Security Administration requesting answers as to why these egregious service delays have not been fixed in a timely fashion. Iowans who worked a lifetime to retire with dignity should not face frustrating obstacles to receive the benefits they are owed. Sen. Joni Ernst, Rep. Randy Feenstra ask for review of... With so many job openings in Iowa and nationwide, we need to do everything possible to help our businesses, manufacturers, and hospitals hire, train, and retain quality employees.
