Hi there, it’s Sam.
I know we send a lot of emails, so I wanted to take a moment to tell you more about myself and why I’m running for Congress.
Growing up, I had access to all the opportunities given to me because my mom pulled herself out of poverty and into the middle class through education. My mom is my hero. She was able to make ends meet, and build a better life for herself and our family. But so many families struggle to make ends meet and don’t get a quality education just because of where they live.
Right now, the zip code you grow up in is the single biggest factor in determining if you will succeed in life. It shouldn’t be this way. Every child deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
So, I was inspired to join Teach for America after college, which led me to teach in one of Dallas’ most underprivileged schools. Then, I wanted to do more to help our students, so I became the youngest principal in Dallas ISD, leading a school where students are able to better prepare themselves for the future.
Now, I’m running for Congress because what our country needs most right now is a new generation of leadership to build a brighter future for everyone, in every zip code.
Will you contribute whatever you can today to join our team and help us flip this seat from red to blue?
