Solar Eclipse 2024: What You Need to Know to See it in New York

The last time New York state saw a total solar eclipse was 99 years ago. Even in areas like New York City that will only witness a partial eclipse “there will still be 88 percent to over 99 percent coverage,” of the sun, according to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office.
