Dear Friends,
The lawsuit we filed in the New Mexico Supreme Court this week is an action not only to ensure election integrity, but one that also calls for the protection of New Mexico’s State Constitution. The basis of our suit centers on two points: a vote-by-mail (VBM) process lacks security and protection of ballots, opening the doors to fraud; the second is that the county clerks’ request for a VBM election is directed to the Supreme Court, bypassing the legislature, whose responsibility is election law. It's a violation of the separation of powers in New Mexico.
There are many lawmakers and county clerks who championed the Republican Party of New Mexico’s fight and joined us in this important lawsuit. We want to recognize those public officials for their quick action, support and understanding in our cause:

Chaves County Dave Kunko
Lea County Keith Manes
