John,

It's truly been an honor to serve as Washington's Commissioner of Public Lands. Together, we've taken the Department of Natural Resources to new heights – providing critical support for our state's needs in new ways, from building affordable housing to stewarding millions of acres of land and making our communities more resilient.

As I’m out on the campaign trail for Washington's 6th Congressional District, one question has really stuck out to me. I'm constantly asked: with all your success as the executive of a state agency, why would you want to serve in a chaotic and ineffective Congress?

Here's why I'm ready to serve in Congress: The chaos and dysfunction in D.C. is impacting our way of life in Washington State, and I can't drive its direction for the better if I'm not in the room helping make our democracy more effective – for everyone.

I've proven I can bring people together to solve some of our toughest challenges, and I'm ready to do just that in Congress. But to get there, we have a long road ahead on the campaign trail, and I need you by my side.

So, John, while I LOVE serving Washington as Commissioner of Public Lands, will you join me in my next steps to continue building on our success in Congress by chipping in $5 today? Your support now will help us start April on the right foot.
