We wanted to take a moment to reflect on all of the incredible achievements you and Lauren have accomplished together, John — and look forward to what this team can achieve this congressional term.

Thanks to your support, Lauren has been able to get a remarkable 14 pieces of legislation signed into law, including the Protecting Moms Who Served Act, part of Lauren’s larger Momnibus.

Now, we have another opportunity to work together and help Lauren grow support for another Momnibus bill, the Maternal Health for Veterans Act. This legislation builds upon the success of the Protecting Moms Who Served Act and reauthorizes essential investments in maternal health for veterans.

Lauren said it best when she spoke before the House Veterans Affairs Committee. Our veterans are true heroes, and as mothers, they are also heroes to their families. During the vulnerable periods of pregnancy and postpartum, they rely on us to ensure they have access to the highest quality healthcare. It is our duty to provide them with the very best.

Ensuring veterans have access to full-spectrum maternal health care is a key component of Lauren’s work to address maternal health disparities across America, particularly the outsized detrimental impact of maternal health outcomes and maternal mortality on Black mothers.
