Democrat Marilyn Lands wins Alabama special election after IVF, abortion rights campaigning

March 26, 2024

If there was ANY question that abortion and reproductive freedom are the top issues for voters – well this special election in Alabama made it clear.

The Democrat, Marilyn Lands, lost this seat by just 7 points in 2022. This time, she won by a whopping 26 points.

We say it a lot, but that’s because abortion and reproductive freedom are going to be THE top issues in this race, too: Ashley is the ONLY pro-choice candidate running for PA-01.

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick? He voted to block women in the military from accessing abortion care. Mark Houck? He said, "that rape and incest is not a good excuse" for an abortion.

Voters will pick Ashley if they know the candidates' stance on abortion and reproductive freedom. But we need the funds to get that message to them.

Can you pitch in before our end-of-quarter, FEC deadline at midnight tonight? Ashley does NOT take money from corporate PACs, so emails like this are a key way we raise grassroots donations.
