John,

Being a leader on many teams and a dad to four boys has taught me important lessons. One that I carry with me to this day is: "Don’t count the score; make the score count."

Instead of fixating on polling, I work hard to earn voters’ trust. That’s why I’m committed to going everywhere and talking to anyone about what’s at stake in this race.

I just filed to be on the ballot so we need to show everyone who’s watching – my opponents, the press, and potential endorsers – that we have what it takes to defeat MAGA extremist Nancy Mace. Will you chip in $25 or more to help us stay on track to reach our end-of-quarter goal and post the strongest fundraising numbers possible? [[link removed]]

Let me be clear: If I had listened to the skeptics and talking heads, I would not be where I am today running for Congress against Trump's protege, Nancy Mace.

But that’s the entire point – I’m sick and tired of being represented by politicians who are a world away from where I come from.

I’ve seen Mace let our community down time and again, which is why this fight is so personal to me. This is my home, and as the proud great-great-grandson of former Rep. Robert Smalls, I’m committed to representing this district with the same honor that he did.

But, I can’t defeat Mace and the Republican fundraising machine alone. I need your help, John – will you join my team and donate $25 or whatever you can before my urgent FEC deadline? [[link removed]]
