I had a dream last night. (You were there.) I dreamt about my dad, Gabe Vasquez, meeting his end-of-quarter fundraising goal and winning his re-election on Election Day. I rudely woke up realizing it's actually Friday and it's still only March.
I just read this email my dad's team sent yesterday and I think it puts it in better words than I could. We're not going to beat around the bush — our very first end-of-quarter FEC fundraising deadline of the election year is on SUNDAY. That means we have less than FOUR days to hit our $30,000 fundraising goal.
We know we keep saying this, but we only repeat it because it's true: The road to flipping the House blue runs through NM-02.
Republicans hold the SLIMMEST majority in recent history, with just a one-seat margin. Democrats have a serious chance to take back the House and bring back productivity and progress to the next Congress.
We don't have a second to waste. If we can't hit our $30K fundraising goal, the NRCC, MAGA Republican mega-donors and dark money groups are going to seize the opportunity to ramp up their extremist efforts even more and air attack ads and lies about Gabe.
But they underestimate the grassroots strength of Team Vasquez. Together, we can hold Gabe's seat and flip the House. Can we count on you to donate $50, $25 or even just $10 ahead of the FEC deadline on Sunday night?
