While we are all social distancing at home, I hope you'll take five minutes and complete the 2020 Census for your household.

Completing the Census is vital, now more than ever, as COVID-19 has caused the Census Bureau to halt field operations until mid-April. The Census will determine how much federal funding Rhode Island gets for our hospitals, fire departments, schools, roads, and highways. It's critical that every Rhode Islander is counted.

A few critical notes: The Census will not ask for a Social Security number and there are no costs associated with completing the Census. The Census will not ask about your citizenship status. Your personal information is kept confidential and will not be shared with law enforcement.

It is critical that you are heard and seen in your community and the Census is a big part of ensuring necessary resources that we all use are allotted fairly.
