Earlier this year, I emailed you about our successful efforts to gather enough signatures so Floridians could vote on abortion protections in our constitution.
That ballot measure has been held up in the courts for months, and we thought we were going to hear back this morning. Now, the court signaled it's going to push its final decision to the last possible moment: Monday, April 1st.
I've been clear on this: Ron DeSantis' 6-week abortion ban that he signed into law is an unconstitutional breach of our basic rights.
I am committed to fighting this in every way possible—by helping gather signatures for this ballot measure, by working to pass federal legislation protecting reproductive freedom, and by standing strong against my anti-choice opponents' attacks against me in this campaign.
Congresswoman Lois Frankel has worked for positive change since her early days as a student protester in the 1960s. Lois is the proud mother to her son Ben who is a United States Marine war veteran, and Lolo to her grandsons. She is also an avid abstract painter who greatly appreciates the arts.
