Six-plex swag, photo by Kate Jentoft-Herr
Hi there,
Most people go on vacation and take pictures of local landmarks. I go on vacation and take pictures of missing middle housing. Please enjoy this adorable yellow six-plex masquerading as a single family home that I spotted last week in Portland. Also, make your plans to come out to one of our upcoming events!
This week, we’ve got a happy hour in Prince George’s County (TOMORROW) and a group outing to the Metro "Fleet of the Future" Expo (Sunday).
Plus, don't forget to snag your Early Bird tickets [[link removed]] to our upcoming Sweet 16 celebration. The ticket price is going up to $200 after April 7 , so grab yours today!
Upcoming Events
Maryland Happy Hour (Also it's Dan's Birthday!) [[link removed]]
Thursday, March 28, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Denizens Brewing Co, 4550 Van Buren Street, Riverdale Park, MD 20737
These days we’ve got a lot to celebrate, including big wins in the Maryland General Assembly session, GGWash's sixteenth birthday, and the birthday of our very own regional policy director. Come say hi on Thursday, March 28 from 6 to 8pm, at Denizens Brewing Company in Riverdale Park! Bring your friends! (This is a brewery, but there’s tasty food and non-alcoholic beverages for those of us, myself included, who don’t drink much!) See you there! [[link removed]]
Let's go to the Metro Expo! [[link removed]]
Sunday, March 31, 2:00pm-4:00pm
Southwest corner of 12th Street NW and Madison Drive NW
Metro is showcasing its Fleet of the Future on the National Mall. The expo is the first of its kind since 1968: Let's check it out together! We'll meet up to tour a model of the new 8,000-series trains and provide feedback on the design, and check out new zero-emission buses. There will also be a photo booth, historical Metro photos, and a Metro history quiz. This is a family-friendly outing! RSVP here [[link removed]] so we can contact you.
Celebrate GGWash's Sweet Sixteen: Early bird ticket prices end April 7! [[link removed]]
Tuesday, April 30, 6:00pm-9:00pm
Pearl Street Warehouse, 33 Pearl Street SW, Washington, DC
GGWash turns sixteen this year! But we won’t be getting our driver's license any time soon. Instead, we’re throwing a party to celebrate the work we've done together. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year -- generating about 10 percent of our annual budget. Join us for a great night out and help set the stage for our next 16 years. Tickets include event admission, drinks, and food; save $40 if you purchase yours before April 7.

[[link removed]] Poll says Marylanders want more homes, in more places, to fit more budgets [[link removed]]
We asked Maryland voters what they think about Governor Wes Moore’s bill that would juice home construction across the state. They like what’s in it–and they want state leaders to make a move, because local governments haven’t done enough to fix our housing crisis.
