Let the NY State Assembly hear the roar of your righteous rage!

We must pass this legislation to reach our climate goals!

While the NY State Senate has included the NY HEAT Act (A4592B) and the Climate Superfund Act (A3351A) in their one-house budget, the State Assembly has not. Final negotiations are happening right now between the Governor, Assembly Speaker Heastie, and Senate Majority Leader Stewart-Cousins on the budget which must pass by April 1. The Assembly Speaker is holding back climate progress, so our Assemblymembers need to hear from every New Yorker demanding they include these bills in the final budget, for a future we can live in.

🔥🔥🔥The NY HEAT Act – Would cap energy bills at 6% and empower the Public Service Commission to take the action required to move off fossil fuels.

💵💵💵The Climate Superfund Act - Would raise $3 Billion a year from fossil fuel companies based on the basic principle of the Superfund law of 1980: You make a mess, you clean it up. This bill will make polluters pay.
