"No" to the Status Quo This week, I voted NO on a $1.2 trillion government spending package that failed to address border security in a constructive manner. This legislation contained NOTHING in it to change the ways our immigration laws are being enforced. We can and must do better—our national security is at stake. Improving Quality of Life for Our Troops This week, I questioned military leaders on quality of life issues facing our servicemembers and their families during the House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies oversight hearing.
