Team, Mad is hard at work in DC – we don’t want you to miss these important updates from her!
Mad joined Joy Reid from MSNBC to discuss special counsel Robert Hur’s report regarding President Biden’s handling of classified documents. It was gratuitous to attack the President’s memory; it was cruel, calculated, and political to do so using the death of his son, Beau. Mad re-upped her call for Hur to correct the record on his unqualified findings – watch more below: [[link removed]][link removed] [[link removed]]

Mad secured nearly $12 million in funding for projects in PA-04, including funding for SEPTA; the La Mott Community Center; the Montco Housing Authority’s Affordable Housing Preservation Initiative; infrastructure upgrades; PFAS treatment; and more! This is great news for the Philadelphia Suburbs – and will bring jobs and progress to our communities. Check out more details. [[link removed]][link removed] [[link removed]]

The La Mott Community Center shares ground with what was once the largest federal training camp for Black troops in the American Civil War: Camp William Penn. Back in October 2021, they had to close their doors because of failed infrastructure and COVID-19 shutdowns. But Mad put forward a Congressional request for over $3.8 million in federal funds. During President Biden’s State of the Union address earlier this month, Mad was honored to be joined by Benjamin Hoffman, an educator in the Visual Arts Department at Kutztown Area High School. For the last 8 years, Ben has been working to expand artistic and educational learning throughout Pennsylvania, and in his free time, he works as a volunteer firefighter. As a former professor, Mad knows just how much educators give back to their communities, and she was thrilled that Benjamin was able to join her. You can read more here.
