John, on August 14, 2021, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti. More than 2,000 were killed, and tens of thousands were left injured, homeless and in crisis. Just two days later, Tropical Depression Grace brought more death and destruction.

These disasters, combined with gang violence, extreme poverty and a lack of resources, created a hunger crisis in Haiti that continues to this day. When headlines fade, hunger will remain.

Now, she’s doing much better and has the nutrition she needs to enjoy playing with her siblings.
