Seattle DSA & the Fight for Palestinian Liberation - Which Way Forward?

2024 SEATTLE DSA CONVENTION

This Saturday,
March 23 11am - 4pm

New Location: Seattle First Baptist Church!

RSVP here!

Seattle DSA’s annual local Convention is this week! We’ll be discussing and debating critical topics such as Palestine solidarity and our electoral strategy going into the monumental 2024 Presidential elections. Check out the
compendium to see what business the chapter will be deliberating Saturday, March 23!

Our yearly Local Convention will take place this Saturday, March 23rd. This is when Seattle DSA sets its direction, through political discussion and debate, for building mass struggles to win critical reforms and popularize the ideas of democratic socialism in Seattle. To win reforms, much less socialism, the first step is organizing a class struggle oriented membership-run organization. Local Conventions are an essential pillar of our democratic process where our membership sets the direction of our chapter for the following year. Check out the new one-stop website for all Local Convention information!

We're currently seeking more Local Council candidates, so we've extended the deadline for nominations through Convention. That means any time between now and March 23rd, 4:00pm is a good time to nominate a comrade for Local Council (or accept a nomination)!

The Local Council is the highest decision making body in Seattle DSA outside of the assembled General Membership. Here’s how to get in on the Local Council race:

  1. Have at least two Seattle DSA comrades you know nominate you through this form as soon as possible! (We’re removing the deadline, but need time to update the website.)
  2. After receiving two nominations, you will be sent a link from the Internal Democracy Committee for your nomination acceptance and candidate statement.
  3. Use the form to accept your nomination and submit your candidate statement.
  4. Advocate for yourself, your cause, and why you should be elected into the Local Council. Run to win!
