Friend, this isn’t the first email you’ve opened from Ruben Gallego’s campaign in Arizona.

But we’re hoping it might be the email you donate to.

Because here’s the truth:

We’re less than two weeks away from our first FEC deadline of the year. If you’re familiar with those deadlines, you know how important this one is: We’ll be legally required to report not only how much money we’ve raised, but how many donations we’ve received.

Now that Kyrsten Sinema is out of the race, everyone is going to be watching that report. Our friends, our foes, the press — they’ll all be watching to see if we’ve got what it takes to win.

Our allies will be looking to add to our strength and support us. Our opponents will look for any sign of weakness to pounce and throw attack ads our way.

We know you can’t donate to every email we send, but we’re hoping you might be able to chip in to this one because this is the kind of deadline that can make or break a campaign like ours. It’s so, so important we come out strong.
