April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM)
Day of Action
Tuesday, April 2nd
Wear teal to show support for survivors and raise awareness around the issue of sexual violence. Use our TEAL OUTreach kit to invite friends, coworkers, and others to join the effort. Post selfies or group pics to social media tagging Doorways to spread the word!
Take the pledge to start by believing when someone tells you they've experienced sexual violence. Download a printable placard like the one pictured here, or an overlay for your social media profile pics.
Fortepianist David Hyun-Su Kim, violinist Lauren Basney, and cellist John Moran present a program that celebrates the artistry of Clara Schumann. Fifty percent of ticket sales will be donated to Doorways.
Wear denim to make a statement: there's no excuse and never an invitation for sexual violence. Learn more about this awareness day and use the tools in our outreach kit to maximize your efforts!
Rocklands' Pig and Oyster Roast benefiting Doorways
Thursday, May 2nd
All-you-can eat bbq and sides, plus drinks, all included in one ticket price that benefits survivors? Yes, indeed! Buy yours now, as space is limited and this event will sell out!
Many thanks to our friends at Sony for volunteering with Doorways last week, and for welcoming us to speak with team members about our mission, the issues we address, how to help, and our partnership. We are so grateful for your ongoing support!

Women's History Month: An observance with significance
"This March is a call to acknowledge the past, affirm the present, and commit to a future where women's rights are recognized and unassailable. It is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by women before us and acknowledge the responsibility we all share to continue their legacy."
"There's a real opening for adults to step up to more positive conversations about masculinity and what it means to be a man, and how they would like men to be in the world."
