JOHN,
Duty, Honor, Country.
The iconic slogan has been woven into the fabric of West Point for more than a century. First adopted in 1898 as part of the academyβs seal, the phrase was also added to the mission statement in 1998.
But last week, the superintendent of West Point announced plans to drop the motto from their mission statement, replacing it with βthe Army Values.β They say itβs all an effort to better align with the Army as a whole, but if you ask us, it sure seems like a case of smoke and mirrors as military higher-ups continue to dilute the foundation of our armed forces.
From diving into seminars on βtransgender visibilityβ to obsessing over diversity quotas, itβs like DOD officials walked straight into the woke mobβs trap and decided to stay awhile.
At a time when our adversaries are circling like vultures and military recruitment is dismal, we shouldnβt be focusing on the petty demands of woke whiners. Do you agree? Team Burchett wants to get your take on the subject.
Has the U.S. military gone woke?
