In today's Senate calendar, HB 2353, Increasing the amount of time a person may be held for treatment and adding criteria for when continued treatment may be ordered under the care and treatment act for mentally ill persons, will have a hearing on Tuesday, March 19th in Senate Judiciary Committee.  The hearing is set for 10:30 am in Room 346-S. The committee assistant is Barbara Moore, 785-296-6817.

Reminder: If you are interested in Medicaid Expansion (HB 2556), the hearings will be Wednesday, March 20th.  In the House, the Health and Human Services Committee will hold their hearing at 1:30 pm in Room 112-N.  You may still have time to register to provide written testimony. The Committee assistant is David Long, 785-296-7488. The Governor's office  has provided information on providing written testimony. They will be providing topic experts to provide information during the hearing, so they are encouraging everyone to provide written testimony.  

The Senate Public Health and Welfare and Ways and Means will hold a joint meeting for informational hearing in Room 346-S at 10:30.
