It's simple math: Democrats have a narrow 51-49 Senate majority — and now that Joe Manchin is retiring, we're all but guaranteed to lose our seat in West Virginia. That means that even if we defend every other Democratic seat (and I'm talking about incredibly tough states like Montana and Ohio), we could STILL lose our majority. Our only viable path forward is flipping a red seat blue. 

I know we can do that here in Florida. Rick Scott is ranked as one of the top 10 most vulnerable senators in the nation, and brand-new polling shows that this race is already neck and neck. So please, if you care about defending our Senate majority, will you rush $5 or more before 11:59 p.m. to help my friend Debbie flip this seat blue and save our Senate majority? It's hard to overstate just how vulnerable Rick Scott is. He's made a name for himself in Washington by pushing policies that are way out of touch with voters — everything from banning abortions to sunsetting Social Security and Medicare. He only won this seat by a mere 10,033 votes — just 0.12%. (And that's after he outspent his Democratic rival by $50 MILLION!) In fact, he's never won a race by more than 1.2%. 

On the other hand, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell is a proven leader with a strong record for working families. She's got a winning message, and the polling data shows Florida voters are ready to rally behind her.

But unfortunately, it's not that simple: Rick Scott is a self-funded, Trump-endorsed megamillionaire. He spent $64 MILLION of his own fortune to buy this seat in 2018.

This time around, he's already shelled out a massive $3 million in attack ads — that's more than any other GOP Senate candidate so far. In all of my years working with campaigns, I've rarely seen that level of spending this early on in a campaign. It means he's scared of Debbie. But it also means he's dead set on stopping her campaign.

This race will come down to one thing: cold hard cash. Experts everywhere know that Debbie can win, but only if grassroots people like you invest in her campaign so that she can go up against Rick Scott.
