CPAC joined forces this week with Brazilian members of Congress, activists, and journalists to denounce the persecution and censorship against Brazil President Lula Da Silva’s political opponents.

“CPAC calls on the Lula administration to immediately release those jailed for political prosecution,” CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp said in the statement. “We also call on the Biden administration to place sanctions on the Brazilian government for their blatant violations of human rights on their own people."
