Friend,
With the coronavirus outbreak growing more serious across the country, the
health and safety of our community is my top priority. Coping with the COVID-19
outbreak has been stressful, whether you’re assisting in taking care of
elderly, raising a family, or self-isolating, this crisis is affecting us all.
Due to this public health crisis continuing to severely impact us, I have
ceased my campaign operation to focus solely on combating this global pandemic
and protecting our community. I have also been determined to make sure our
first responders and hospitals have the resources they need during this crisis.
As a part of our effort to combat this public health crisis it is imperative
our community has real-time information. For updated information please visit

With the growing uncertainty and fear throughout the country, I have been
blown away by how our community has come together to support one another. I
have received many requests asking how you can help, and I wanted to pass along
information about both local and national organizations that you can help
support:

blood, platelets and AL Elite plasma
However you choose to help your neighbors at this critical time, I want you to
know I am doing everything I can in Washington to support relief efforts, fund
free testing kits and critical medical supplies, and put a stop to this global
threat as soon as possible.
I also encourage you to visit www.coronavirus.gov

and ways to keep yourself and your loved ones safe during this outbreak,
including:
* Washing your hands
* Cleaning frequently touched objects and surfaces
* Avoiding contact with those who are sick
* Staying home if you are sick
Finally, let us remember to be kind to one another during this scary and
difficult time. Thank you to those who are leaving their families and the
safety of their homes, exposing themselves every day, to provide essential
services to our community. To our grocery store workers, pharmacists, health
care providers, transit workers, and all others putting themselves at risk, we
thank you.
Together, we will overcome this crisis just as we have done before.
Thank you and stay well,
