Hi friend,

EnviroVoters has designated this March to be Public Lands Month, meaning we’re going to be dedicating this entire month to all things public lands! National monument designations, clean water advocacy, Indigenous land protection, ecosystem conservation, and access to nature are all going to be at the top of our list of priorities.

And friend, we’ve got a bit of work planned out to say the least! Here is just some of what we’ve been working on to support public lands and expand national monuments in California:

* For the proposed Molok Luyuk expansion of the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument, we have collected nearly 8,000 petition signatures and signed multiple coalition letters which have been received by the President and cabinet members including Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland.

* For the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument expansion, we have collected over 8,000 petition signatures and run a successful digital ads campaign, reaching over 5 million people to ask President Biden to expand this monument.

* For the Chuckwalla National Monument designation, we have collected over 8,000 petition signatures and are currently organizing two sessions to educate local members and prepare them to speak at a public comment session.

* We are currently working with Senator Ben Allen to introduce a statewide resolution supporting these monuments as well as the proposed Sáttítla/Medicine Lake Highlands National Monument and the proposed Kw’tsán National Monument!

Our campaigning has been incredibly successful so far, but we need help from YOU to maintain these efforts for the sake of our ecosystems, fresh water, recreation space, Indigenous land protection, and more. This Public Lands Month, we will be continuing to advocate for expanding and establishing these five National Monuments, while pushing President Biden and members of Congress to pass greater protections and resources for public lands here in California.

In 2024, we are continuing to organize in these areas, push our elected officials to take action, ensure continued access and prioritization of public lands by our leaders, and much more. Show your support for our bold public lands campaigns with a $20 donation today >>

Thank you for your dedication and support. Our natural spaces, communities lacking access to green spaces, Indigenous communities, and our climate depend on it!
