Hello,

This newsletter will be as short as the past week at the Capitol was. Seventeen lawmakers were gone so the House adjourned early every day with minimal agendas, if any, in committees. Governor Hobbs stayed hard at work though, as she issued her first veto on one of the controversial immigration bills I mentioned in last week’s newsletter.

The condensed week at the legislature means we will have to play major catch-up on the back end. However, I was fortunate to spend my ‘spring break’ meeting with constituents, advocacy groups, and my work at the Arizona Community Foundation. It is a gift to be able to align my passion for community in both spaces.

I am sure there will be plenty more to report back to you next week. As always, if you encounter bills in my committees or on issues you care about, please reach out to me!

All my best,

Sarah
