Spring is here and things are getting "wild"
in Texas state parks!

Spring is a wonderful time to visit your favorite parks. Wildflowers are in bloom, wildlife is out and about and wild adventures await!?

Spring Break is just around the corner, so parks may be filling up fast.?Make reservations now if you haven't already.?

Be sure to check the park status before you leave for the park. Please modify or cancel?your reservation if your plans change, so someone else can enjoy the park!


Wild Views - April Eclipse

State Parks Day Pass Reservations for the April 8 eclipse are now open. For tips on making your reservation, read our press release.?

Texas has 31 state parks within the path of totality, and a partial eclipse will be visible in other state parks. Parks in the line of totality are expected to reach capacity, and members of the public are asked not to visit unless they have a pre-purchased day pass or overnight reservation.

Wildlife

Wildlife viewing is one of the most enjoyable things to do at state parks. With plenty of wildlife around in the spring, please keep a respectful distance and review these?tips for wildlife watching. Many parks will be hosting wildlife watching events?to help you spot various species.?

Great Texas Birding Classic
Register today for the 2024 Birding Classic! This year's tournament runs daily from April 15-May 15. There are categories for all ages and skill levels, including beginners, as well as a category specifically for state parks. The registration deadline is April 1.
