David Perdue had a chance to protect us from COVID-19, friends. He failed.
When Teresa was mayor of Columbus, Georgia, she didn’t wait until a crisis got national attention before taking action. Give us a moment to explain.
Columbus is adjacent to Fort Benning, which supports some 100,000 active-duty military, family members, reserves, veterans, and civilians.
Teresa drilled countless times in crisis simulation as Columbus’ public safety director and head of Homeland Security to keep her city safe. She worked alongside the federal and state government, Fort Benning’s commanding generals, and community stakeholders to be ready when disaster struck. Preparedness is a critical component of leadership.
So is vision. When Teresa took office in 2010, she knew Columbus had a problem with veteran homelessness and she was determined to make a plan to address it. By the end of her second term in 2019, Columbus reached net-zero veteran homelessness, with an available housing unit for every single homeless veteran in the city. Teresa confronted a crisis affecting some of the most vulnerable people in her city and solved it.
The COVID-19 pandemic shows how important it is that we elect a Senator who understands government’s power comes from the people she serves. Invest in good leadership and you will get good government.
We have an FEC deadline in 2 days. With Teresa as our nominee, we will defeat David Perdue and flip Georgia blue — but we need your help. Make a contribution and help elect the kind of leader we deserve in the United States Senate. [[link removed]]
