My Thoughts on the SOTU Joe Biden's presidency has resulted in three years of American decline. Open borders, high prices, and violent crime are wreaking havoc on families and communities across our state. Instead of leveling with the American people, the President used his final State of the Union Address to distort the truth, blame others for his failures, and double down on the left's broken agenda. Kansans deserve better than to be gaslit by their Commander-in-Chief. Catching up with Secretary Mike Pompeo Mike Pompeo served our nation honorably as Secretary of State, CIA Director, and Congressman. Most importantly, Mike is a proud Kansan and true American patriot. I was honored to host Secretary Pompeo in my DC office this week to discuss the growing threat of Communist China and the urgent need for America to project strength on the world stage. Honoring Laken Riley Laken Riley should be alive today. We cannot continue releasing illegal immigrants with criminal records into our communities. I was proud to wear this pin to the State of the Union. Biden's Failed Agenda Kansans are sick and tired of footing the bill for President Biden's failed agenda. It's my hope that the President will do the right thing and level with the American people, but I won't hold my breath. My message was simple: Securing the border, lowering the cost of living, and reducing violent crime in our cities MUST be top priorities for the President. Traveling the District! I am proud to stand beside the folks who have been fighting for decades to ensure the Quindaro Townsite receives the recognition it deserves. Stopped by Labette County High School last week to talk with students and teachers about what's happening in Congress. Laken Riley should be alive today. H.R. 2 has been sitting on Chuck Schumer's desk for 293 days. It's time for the Senate and White House to take action and shut down this invasion. Biden's Political Stunt Joe Biden's photo op at the border this week in Brownsville, TX, is a slap in the face to every American and community being forced to pay the price for this administration's refusal to enforce our immigration laws. CBP's Brownsville Station is facing a meager amount of illegal crossings compared to Eagle Pass and other locations along the border. Americans know the President could end this invasion with the stroke of a pen—they won't be fooled by this blatant political stunt. Exposing Student Loan Debt Bailouts There's no such thing as student loan forgiveness. Joe Biden has simply transferred $138 billion of student loan debt onto hard-working taxpayers who either paid off their loans already or never took one out in the first place.
