TMO's Marketing & Communications Specialist Jenny Perkins attended Pollstar Production/Live! and Awards, the world?s largest gathering of live entertainment professionals and the flagship event for Pollstar magazine, from February 5-8, in Los Angeles, CA.


On February 6, TMO's Community Relations & Outreach Specialist, Chip Adams, spoke at Arlington Amplified's first mixer of the year at Texas Live. Arlington is a Music Friendly Texas Certified Community.

On February 15, TMO's Jenny Perkins and Steve Ray were in attendance for the opening of the new LBJ Presidential Library Exhibition, Music America: Iconic Objects from America's Music History.

Music America: Songs That Shaped Us, a live concert, included performances by Texas musicians Alejandro Escovedo, Ruthie Foster, Lyle Lovett, Jimmie Vaughan, Erika Wennerstrom, Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Colin Gilmore.?


On February 15, the TMO was a proud sponsor of the 2nd Annual Coastal Bend Music Symposium in Corpus Christi, TX.?

TMO's Chip Adams was a panelist at the well-attended Symposium, and we are looking forward to next year!?

TMO's Jenny Perkins attended the Ameripolitan Awards in Austin at ACL Live on February 18. After a three-year residency in Memphis, Dale Watson brought the Ameripolitan Awards back to Austin from February 15-18, 2024, to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

TMO's Steve Ray and Jenny Perkins attended the annual Folk Alliance International Conference and Festival in Kansas City, MO from February 21-25. During this week of songs and learning, the TMO also hosted their annual Lone Star Showcase, featuring Texas musicians Pat Byrne, Natalie Price, Karyn Oliver, Scott H. Biram, Kym Warner, Tony Kamel, and Gina Chavez.?


On February 23-24, during the Texas Heritage Songwriters Association's Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame Weekend, TMO Director Brendon Anthony presented Dierks Bentley with an Honorary Texan Proclamation from the State of Texas. TMO's Jenny Perkins was also in attendance to document the Hall of Fame Awards.?

On February 26, Texas Music Office Director Brendon Anthony spoke on the state of music in the City of Fort Worth at the Fort Worth Town Hall, held at Printed Threads, alongside our Music Friendly Texas Liaison of Hear Fort Worth/Visit Fort Worth, Tom Martens, Mayor Mattie Parker, and more.


TMO Director Brendon Anthony gave the opening keynote address for the 2nd Annual Fort Worth Music Festival and Conference on February 28 at Tannahill's Hall and Tavern in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.?

The Texas Music Office announced that the City of Mont Belvieu has been designated as the 57th Music Friendly Texas Certified Community by the Texas Music Office (TMO) after completing the multi-step certification process.

Galveston Island has been designated as the 58th Music Friendly Texas Certified Community?by the?Texas Music Office (TMO) after completing the multi-step certification process. The certification ceremony was held in the historic Grand 1894 Opera House.?
