The Guardian: Donald Trump sweeps Michigan’s Republican party convention

Team, the Michigan GOP awarded all 39 state delegates to Donald Trump at their convention on Saturday. The Republican Party’s presidential candidate won’t be formally nominated until July, but here are 3 things that became clear on Saturday:

  1. Chaos is the driving force behind the Michigan Republican Party, no matter who the chair is, after months of infighting and division within the party
  2. The MIGOP is fully backing Donald Trump and his extremist MAGA agenda, which seems to be the only thing holding the party together
  3. Michigan voters are ready to reject MAGA extremism in November

It’s clear after yesterday’s Super Tuesday results that Donald Trump will be on the ballot in November. We need to come together now to reach voters and motivate them to cast their ballots to reject Donald Trump and MAGA extremism in November. 

If we want to get the job done, we need to make early investments now in our winning grassroots program that will engage Michigan voters in all 83 counties. That’s where you come in today.
