It's an honor to serve you in Congress. Check out this week's newsletter below. Each day, I work to address your concerns and protect our liberties. From helping you navigate federal casework to advocating for your priorities, my team and I are always here to help. Improving Healthcare in South Texas This week, I joined Texas A&M-San Antonio for the grand opening of a new, state-of-the-art public heath laboratory. My team and I worked tirelessly to secure nearly $2 million for this project and I’m proud to share that we delivered. This new research center will go a long way to help prevent and treat conditions like diabetes and heart disease in South Texas. I'm looking forward to continuing my work with Texas A&M-San Antonio into the future. Congressman Gonzales joined Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp and Texas A&M-San Antonio President Salvador Hector Ochoa on Tuesday in San Antonio. Dedicating My Life To Service I served our country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy. The Navy gave me an opportunity—and I’ll never take that for granted. I’ll ALWAYS deliver for our veterans and servicemembers while serving Texas' 23rd district in Congress. To watch Congressman Gonzales' full video, click here. Enforcing Our Immigration Laws Americans everywhere are suffering the consequences of open border policies. This week in Washington, I met with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Patrick Lechleitner to demand a stronger response from the agency in deporting criminal aliens. Failure to act is not an option. Delivering for Uvalde CISD This week, I was glad to meet with Uvalde CISD Superintendent Ashley Chohlis. I am a firm believer in the power of education and will continue to be a committed partner in delivering resources and support to our schools in Texas.
