Tom Suozzi Returns to Congress With 2 Words for House: ‘Wake Up’
>>[link removed]

Hello there,

This week, I was sworn in and gave an address to all of the Members of Congress.

And, team, my message was simple: “Wake up!”

Here’s what The New York Times wrote about my speech:

“The people are sick and tired of finger-pointing and petty partisan politics,” [Suozzi] said, chastising Republicans and Democrats alike for “letting ourselves be bullied by our base” on issues like inflation and “the chaos at the border.”

He challenged the House, fresh off one of its least productive years in modern history, to get into “the solutions business,” starting with a vote on a bipartisan border bill Republicans demanded, then abruptly abandoned.

Team, as this Congress is almost unprecedentedly unproductive, we desperately need to change course. As a Congressman, I will do exactly what I campaigned on, which is work with anyone of any party to get things done for Long Island, Queens, and our country.

But here’s the truth, team, we can’t solve all of our problems in the next 10 months. While I’m hitting the ground running here in the House, I’m counting on grassroots supporters like you to kick my general election campaign off to a strong start.

So, team, can I count on you? Chip in $25 now to help kick off my general election and make sure that I can continue working for Long Island and Queens in Congress!

Thank you for standing by my side,

Tom Suozzi
